Wesley House is simply divine! Steeped in history with charm in abundance this fabulous property oozes the epitome of holiday accommodation.

John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist movement, laid the first stone of Wesley House and its adjoining chapel in 1786. A century later it was extensively remodelled and extended by the acclaimed architect F.R. Wilson to create this imposing building.

Today, it’s been cleverly restored and refurbished with oodles of style to create the contemporary ambience desired for modern living.

This quirky and interesting house now offers excellent and flexible holiday accommodation; namely Wesley Rowan and Wesley Holly.

Situated on the aptly named Chapel Lane, the property is snuggled in a quiet lane where free on street parking is available to the front but also benefits from no-through traffic.  A gentle stroll however, brings visitors directly into the heart of the prestigious market town of Alnwick.

With its quaint cobbled streets there is a wide array of restaurants, shops, tea-rooms and a cinema / playhouse for entertainment.  A modern leisure centre with indoor swimming and sports facilities is also close by.

Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts!) is a mere 300 yards from Wesley House and the Alnwick Gardens, with its grand cascade waterfall and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe is well worth a visit.

The wild heather-capped expanses of the Cheviot Hills are a short drive west and the sweeping sandy beaches this Heritage coastline is renowned for are only 5 miles to the east.

Head for Seahouses and take a boat trip to the Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony, or watch the trawlers return with their daily catch.

Take time for tea in the picture postcard village of Bamburgh, protected by its own majestic fortress and where Holy Island can be seen on the horizon. This heritage coastline is renowned for its wide expanse of golden and often empty beaches; idyllic for those who yearn to wander barefoot in the sand and listen to the waves crash against the shore....
